Mexico is a country rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. With white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, these destinations are ideal for water sports such as snorkeling and diving. To find history and culture, Mexico City is the best option as it is home to several archaeological sites and art museums that attract tourists from all over the world, such as the Templo Mayor, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, or the National Museum of Anthropology.

Music, art, and dance are important aspects of Mexican culture, and cultural festivals and events can be found throughout the country all year round (Secretaría de Cultura de México, 2021). Mexican cuisine is Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, being one of three gastronomies in the world with this title (Government of Mexico, 2013).

Likewise, tourism is an important part of the Mexican economy, contributing significantly to the country's GDP. In 2019, Mexico received more than 45 million foreign tourists, generating revenues worth $24.6 billion (Secretaría de Turismo de México, 2021). In addition, domestic tourism is also an important component of Mexico's tourism industry, with more than 100 million domestic tourists traveling within the country each year (Secretaría de Turismo de México, 2021).
